St Peter’s Church is a Roman Catholic Church in the heart of Aberdeen City Centre, Scotland. Located on Justice Street, it was the first permanent Roman Catholic Church to be built in Aberdeen after the Reformation with its foundations laid in 1803.
We are blessed with a beautiful church building and a community which is open and friendly and has a great family atmosphere.
Aberdeen’s hidden gem, this is the oldest catholic church in Aberdeen. Designed by James Massie, 1803-4; gallery added 1815 and façade finished 1817 by Harry Leith. Within the courtyard is the residence occupied since 1774, including, in the 18th century, the Vicars Apostolic of the Lowland district: Bishop James Grant and Bishop John Geddes.
